  Thanks, everyone, for sharing your photos and comments.

  Even if it isn't the great outdoors I get away to, I appreciate how my house and animal sitting "career" get me into very nice homes for a few days or weeks at a time. Since I rent just a room (the house I'm in can get crazy at times), I enjoy being able to spread out in a full-size house, all to myself, and listen to classical music.

  When back home, I block out the other's TV by shutting myself away in my room with white noise and music. And JWD.

  What a wonderful story! When taking similar treks nearby, I likewise allow my thoughts to drift back in time, imagining citizens of long ago and their activities where I now tread. It helps quiet me and set my life in proper perspective. Otherwise, simply drinking in the beauty of nature -- the forests, the mountains, the rivers, the clouded sky -- satisfies my aching soul.

  how irrational the society could be was experienced by the sister-in-law of ex-bethelite william (bill) cetnar when .... at the suggestion of her veterinarian, she had a blood transfusion given to her poodle to prolong its life.

  she couldn't believe bill [cetnar]when he told her that the society would say she had violated god's law.

She couldn't believe Bill [Cetnar]when he told her that the Society would say she had violated God's law. At his urging she wrote the Society on the matter and the response she received informed her that she had done wrong. Phyllis thought that this was ridiculous. She wrote again and asked if her cat eating a mouse would also be a problem; was this too against God's law? She was told that she should keep the cat under restraint and be more careful in handling it. She thought to herself, "How many cats have I seen which have drained the blood of their mouse victim before eating it?"

  i checked the watchtower library and i didn’t find anything on gingerbread man cookies.. .

  things which are perfectly normal are acts of eating from the table of the demons.

  things which are horribly grotesque and extremely unjust are branded as "righteousness".
